The Equitable Medicaid and Clinical Research team had a meaningful engagement with H.E. Svein Baera, Ambassador of Norway to Nigeria, as preparations continue for World Cancer Day, also known as The Big Walk, scheduled for February 4th, 2026. The event carries the powerful message: \u201cCancer no be king.\u201d<\/p>

During the meeting, Ambassador Baera shared a deeply personal story about losing his wife to cancer. His openness set a reflective tone for the discussion and highlighted the urgent need to raise awareness, provide support, and strengthen cancer care in communities across Nigeria.<\/p>

The team presented the objectives of The Big Walk, emphasizing education, early detection, and mobilizing communities to take proactive steps in fighting cancer.
