El mensaje era claro:<\/p><p><strong>\"\u00a1Si ves alguna se\u00f1al, Checkam!\"<\/strong><br \/>A pesar de ser el <strong>Noveno c\u00e1ncer m\u00e1s frecuente en el mundo<\/strong>El c\u00e1ncer de vejiga sigue siendo un gran desconocido en Nigeria. Casi todas las personas con las que hablamos dijeron lo mismo:<br \/><em>\"Conocemos el c\u00e1ncer, pero nunca hab\u00edamos o\u00eddo hablar del c\u00e1ncer de vejiga\".<\/em><br \/>Esta falta de concienciaci\u00f3n es alarmante porque <strong>la detecci\u00f3n precoz salva vidas<\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong>Por qu\u00e9 es importante la concienciaci\u00f3n sobre el c\u00e1ncer de vejiga<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>M\u00e1s de 610.000 nuevos casos<\/strong> se diagnostican cada a\u00f1o en el mundo.<\/li><li><strong>1,9 millones de personas<\/strong> viven actualmente con c\u00e1ncer de vejiga.<\/li><li>Es el <strong>13\u00aa causa de muerte por c\u00e1ncer en el mundo<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><p>En Nigeria, la detecci\u00f3n tard\u00eda debida a <strong>conocimiento limitado y estigma<\/strong> conduce a <strong>altas tasas de mortalidad<\/strong>. Sin embargo, cuando se detecta a tiempo, el <strong>la tasa de supervivencia puede ser tan alta como 90%<\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong>Se\u00f1ales que nunca debe ignorar<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Sangre en la orina (hematuria)<\/strong> - La se\u00f1al de advertencia m\u00e1s com\u00fan.<\/li><li><strong>Micci\u00f3n frecuente o dolorosa<\/strong> - Especialmente sin infecci\u00f3n.<\/li><li><strong>Dolor lumbar o p\u00e9lvico<\/strong> - Malestar persistente.<\/li><li><strong>Urgencia sin alivio<\/strong> - Sentir la necesidad de orinar sin resultados.<\/li><\/ul><p>Si usted o un ser querido experimenta alguno de estos s\u00edntomas, <strong>acuda al m\u00e9dico inmediatamente<\/strong>.
